This Privacy Policy explains how RouteRanger (the "App", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the App.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: the email address, username, and country you provide when you create an account.
• Learning activity: your answers, scores, experience points, streaks, progress, and subscription status, so the App can track your progress and adapt difficulty.
• Usage volume: a daily count of how much content your account requests, used to detect automated or abusive access.
• Technical data: basic device and log information needed to operate and secure the App.

We do not collect or store your payment card details — all purchases are processed by Apple or Google.

2. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account.
• To provide the App's features (questions, audio lessons, study guides, progress tracking).
• To manage subscriptions and premium access.
• To send account-related emails (confirmation, password reset).
• To keep the App secure and to improve it.
• To protect our content — this includes displaying your account email address within study material shown to you, and reviewing usage patterns to detect unauthorised copying or automated access.
• To enforce our Terms of Use.

3. Service providers

We rely on trusted third parties that process data only to provide their service to us:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and backend hosting.
• Cloudflare (R2, Pages) — media storage and website hosting.
• RevenueCat — subscription and in-app purchase management.
• Resend — transactional email (account confirmation, password reset).
• Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing for subscriptions.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers listed above, or when required by law.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Profile settings), which removes your account and associated data. You may also contact us to request deletion.

Limited records of usage volume, and of any suspected breach of our Terms of Use, may be kept after account deletion where this is necessary to protect our rights or to prevent repeated abuse.

6. Children

RouteRanger is intended for users aged 13 and older (or the minimum age required in your country) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and access controls, to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your information.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
